Gangarri Solar Farm

T2 Energy was responsible for the design, manufacture, and site installation of the Main Control Room building and the Warehouse at the 120MW Gangarri Solar Farm located near to Wandoan in central Queensland.

Gangarri Solar Farm is the first solar farm built by Shell and is generating solar power from approximately 400,000 photovoltaic panels, sufficient to power 50,000 homes.

The T2 Energy scope of work on this project included:

  • Manufacture, Delivery, and Site Installation of the modular Main Control Room (MCR) Building, including:
  • 415VAC 1,600A Distribution Board and UPS Distribution Board
  • Fire Detection and Alarm System
  • Design and Installation of the MCR Building foundations (Concrete Piers)
  • Manufacture, Delivery, and Site Installation of the 10m x 10m Warehouse.
  • Installation of the Warehouse concrete slab
  • Supply and Installation of the Septic System
  • Supply and Installation of a 22,500 litre water tank and pump for water supply to the MCR Building

The manufacture, installation, and testing of these buildings was undertaken from August 2020 to February 2021.

The Gangarri Solar Farm commenced energy output from September 2021.
