Gunnedah Solar Farm - T2 Energy Reference Project

T2 Energy was responsible for the design and manufacture of the 33kV Switchroom and Control Room building, and the O&M building at Canadian Solar's 154MW Gunnedah Solar Farm in NSW.

At 154MW the Gunnedah solar farm covers 304 hectares and utilises 460,000 bifacial Canadian Solar photovoltaic panels on a single axis tracking system.

The T2 Energy scope of work on this project included:

- 1 x 33kV Substation Building, including supply and installation of:

  • 33kV 3,150A Siemens 8DA10 Switchboard
  • Dual 110VDC Chargers and 200AHr Battery Systems
  • Solar Farm RTU Panel
  • 415VAC Distribution Board
  • Fire Detection and Alarm System

- 1 x O&M Building, including supply and installation of:

  • Septic System
  • 22,500 litre water tank and pump
  • Modified Container Storage facility with carpark and awning
  • 415VAC Distribution Board
  • Fire Detection and Alarm System

The manufacture, installation, and testing of the 33kV Switchroom commenced in September 2020 with delivery and installation on site in April 2021. The site installation of the O&M Building was completed in October 2021.
