Wemen Solar Farm

T2 Energy was responsible for the design and manufacture of the 33kV Switchroom and Control Room building and the Powercor Utility building at the 88MW (AC) Wemen Solar Farm which is located South of Mildura in Victoria.

At 110MW DC, Wemen Solar Farm has approximately 319,000 modules installed across an area of close to 700 acres, becoming one of the largest solar farms in Victoria to be generating clean, renewable electricity at the end of 2018.

The T2 Energy scope of work on this project included:

• 2 x Substation Buildings
• 33kV Schneider GHA switchboard
• Dual 110VDC Charger and Battery Systems
• 100MVA 33/66kV Transformer Protection Panel
• Solar Farm Metering Panel
• 415VAC Distribution Board
• Fire detection and Alarm System

The manufacture, installation, and testing of this equipment was undertaken from February to November 2018, with the switchroom buildings delivered and installed on site in August 2018.
